The aoDrive is a customized, independently adjustable optogenetics drive made through 3D printing processes. Weighing in at only 3 grams it is ideal for use in free-moving experiments on mice and rats. It incorporates independent adjustment screws for each of the fiber-optics and electrodes, and can be used in a single or tandem configuration (for the simultaneous and independent stimulation and recording in two different areas of the brain). The aoDrive is completely customizable to suit specific research needs.
The aoLED device integrates control circuits and LED source on a single device, leading to an ideal control of an LED emitter for use in both analog (0-5V) and TTL digital stimuli. Low latency, high speed (up to 1MHz), stability and optical feedback make this controller the ideal choice for optogenetics experiments. Off-the-shelf wavelengths:
• 459nm Blue light
• 617nm Amber light
• 365nm UV lightMore options available upon request.
Thanks to the experience consolidated building and maintaining SISSA's experimental setups, we are able to design and build custom setups covering the full range of mechanics, electronics and software aspects. Let us know your design needs, and we will turn them into reality!
Below are some of our most recently released products:
This unit is a portable odor delivery controller with multiple independent channels + a constant flow channel, for use in psychophysical experiments. This fMRI compatible device allows controlling the delivery of selected odors over time in a precise manner via a computerized software controller and can receive or deliver external trigger signals.
The system has a base configuration of 2+1 channels and can be configured for up to 12+1 channels all packed into a ruggedized carrying case.
Spir-0 is a real-time fibre optics based MRI and EEG compatible device capable of accurately measuring a subject’s breathing behaviour.
It works on the principal of detecting small airflow variations during inhaling and exhaling in order to give an accurate measure of the whole breathing cycle.
This USB-connected real-time Response Box allows you to precisely measure the reaction times of your experimental subject with respect to an on-screen trigger event.
Every project starts from an in depth analysis of your needs: our team works with you to discuss the raw idea, identify your needs and define specific targets to be achieved
Starting from a deep knowledge of thechnology and product design, and with a pinch of Italian creativeness, we will define your project in the form of a structured specification sheet and provide one or more clear solution proposals.
Our cross-functional team of electronic, mechanical and software designers will convert your ideas into hands-on Proofs Of Concept, functioning prototypes or finished systems as per your needs.
The CyNexo team is composed of a technical team with broad capabilities forged through working at advanced scientific labs and who know well the sort of hurdles faced in ERC/HORIZON 2020 projects and how to deal with them. Our experience covers the full product lifecycle from developing the initial idea, generating a proof-of-concept, prototyping working solutions, to one-off or small quantity production of final products.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 874739.
LongITools will focus on studying the interactions between the environment, lifestyle and health, and within this, CyNexo, in collaboration with Ab.Acus and University Pompeu Fabra, will develop innovative wearable health devices for sensing physiological and environmental parameters. It is with great pleasure that we will be taking part as one of three SMEs in the recently launched LongITools European research project, which is a five-year project with a total grant of €11,997,448 from the EU’s Horizon 2020 R&D programme, and one of nine projects in the newly created ‘European Human Exposome Network’.
The team was born under the "Neuromicronica" banner within the SISSA neuroscience team. Over the past years we have grown up and are now spreading our wings into the commercial world as CyNexo. Here are some important milestones from our journey so far:
• 2020 January - LongITools Horizon 2020 project started, with CyNexo as 1 of 18 overall partners, and 1 of 3 SMEs.
• 2018 May - CyNexo officially recognized as a Sissa Associated Start-up Company
• 2018 January - "CyNexo srl" established by its four founding partners
• 2017 April - Our "Neuromicronica" project is assigned a Proof of Concept grant by the European Research Council
• 2016 September - Finalist an the European "Innovation Radar Prize" in Bratislava
• 2015 December - Finalist at the Italian (National Innovation Awards) "Premio Nazionale per l’Innovazione (PNI)"(National Innovation Awards)
• 2015 October - Winners of 1st Prize at "Start Cup FVG" in the Industrial IDEAS category
• 2015 June - "Neuromicronica" project shortlisted for the regional "Start Cup FVG"
